Threading the Machine

Raise the thread take-up lever to the highest point by turning the balance wheel towards you. (Large round wheel on your right of the machine.)
Raise presser foot with presser foot lifter and pass the thread in the order from
[1] to [8]
[1] Pass the thread through the top cover thread guide.
[2] Draw the thread around the thread guide and down into the tension.
[3] Then down around the check spring holder.
[4] Firmly draw the thread from left to right over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.
[5][6] Then down through the lower thread guides.
[7] Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left.
[8] Thread the needle from front to back.

Remove all the threads from the machine.

Be sure, when you thread the machine, you ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. Also when threading from the thread tree down through the tension disk, give each thread an extra little tug to make sure it is seated.

Always thread each thread in the order specified. Threading out of order will guarantee failure. If a thread breaks, start over with no thread in the machine.

After threading the machine, start to sew and the thread breaks it seems that it gets caught in step 4 in Threading The Machine in the manual.

Not knowing the make & model of the machine limits out ability to help. What is Step 4? When threading the top thread, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. Verify that the thread path is correct--mis-threading is a frequent cause of broken thread.

Watch your thread while sewing slowly. You may be able to see where the problem originates. It may just be a matter of the thread popping out of a thread guide or looping around something it shouldn't.

Avoid old or bargain bin variety thread. Invest in fresh, good quality thread.

Try installing a brand new needle.

When threading the upper thread, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. Remove all the thread from the machine and rethread from the beginning. Confirm the thread path is correct and that the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly. Set the tension to the midway point to start and then tweak it for your particular machine.

Most machines thread basically the same.

There may be an extra or one less of the guides but for the most part I've been able to thread any machine.

Why the thread cracked with when i sticked with the machine

Thread breakage could occur for several reasons.

First, try a brand new needle.

Second, use only good quality thread--NOT old thread or bargain bin varieties.

Third, when threading the upper thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot throughout the threading process.

Verify that the thread path is correct (consult the owner's manual). Incorrect threading will usually break the thread.

Check that the upper thread tension is set at the midway point between the high & low numbers.

How to thread the machine

Hello

Place spool of thread on the spool pin, found inside the carrying handle on the top right side of the machine facing the back.

Lead thread through the upper thread guide, located just beyond the machine's handle.

Lead thread through the second upper thread guide, found a few spaces to the left of the first upper thread guide mentioned in Step 2.

Bring thread around the second upper thread guide down into the thread guide.

Lead thread toward you down through the tension discs.

Continue to pull thread down through the ****. Forming a "U" shape, bring thread back up the left side of the guide, catching the check spring as the thread moves back up through the guide on the left side.

Bring thread up to the take-up lever and insert thread through the eye of the lever in a right-to-left motion.

Lead thread downwards, slipping it down through the horizontal thread guide.

Guide thread through the wire thread guide that is attached to the needle clamp.

Insert thread through needle from front to back, pulling thread four to six inches to create a thread extension. The machine is now threaded.
