Water was accidentally poured into the vaporizer through the output vent hole. As soon as I realized this, I emptied the entire tank, and the base. I filled it again and waited for it to start working...Nothing happened. I took the tank off the base again, and discovered a small amount of water leaking from the vents on the side and bottom of the base. I did not take it apart, but took a hair dryer and blew cool air into the vents. I filled it again, and it seems there is a little more air than before, but no mist. Have I ruined my humidifier, or do you have a suggestion? I have just learned that I have asthma, and this machine was a gift to my late mom. She rarely used it, so it was like new until I got it! I am in a bit of a panic because I can't afford to go buy a new unit right now, and this one was perfect for my needs! I was bragging yesterday how much this humidifier was helping me breathe better.

Hi,
I would use the hair dryer on it some more, even on a low heat...then give it some more time to dry... then it should work again... be patient here and let things dry out...

Thanks for the advice. We'll wait awhile longer, then try again. :)
