How do I reset access password?
Thanks. I actually found out that it had never been configured - here is the standard factory access info:
All Oki network printing devices support configuration changes via a standard web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. When applying a configuration change to a device the user is prompted for a user name and password. The following details should be entered:
User Name: root
Password: last six digits of the MAC address*
*You can find the MAC address on the network
summary web page or by printing off a menu
from the printer.
Bought a printer server called
- log into router
- look at the leases issued by the dhcp server in the router
- note the ip address assigned to the printer
- change the lease to be permanently leased to the printer server
- the print server will have a device name . you should be able to figure out which ip address is assigned / leased to it .
- You never assign a print server , or server or printer with a temporary dhcp ip address ! hence why you should change the lease of it to permanent .
- Then it will be assigned the same ip address by the dhcp server .
OKI (70050501) 20 GB Hard Drive
To back up the data from this hard drive, connect this hard drive to an USB hard drive adapter, then plug this USB adapter with the hard drive into the USB port of a working computer. The computer will see this hard drive as an external mass storgae device. You can then open the folders and files on this hard drive and copy your data to this computer or to an USB memory stick.
When printing there are black
Please remove and clean the catridges with a soft tissue slightly wet. Leave to dry for a couple of minuites the place back. Goodluck.

use the preview to establish if this will appear on the final print or not ..and u can use the subset finishing ..and the line spacing adjustment feature to make any changes...and save after ...
No function
Replace the defective power-supply -- there is nothing that an "end-user" can do to fix it.
Okidata c5510 error message ADF paper jam
the adf sensor is not working. see if it is stuck or actkivated somehow.. it might need to be replaced in this case it sounds. could be paper dust though.. check it out and clean it up.

How do reset an oki
- Turn off the printer.
- Hold down the SHIFT and LF buttons, and at the same time turn the printer back on.
- Release the buttons.
- The printer should be reset to the default settings now.
I've returned home from Spain
On the logon screen press the crtl+alt+del twice till it will give you a window that ask for the username and password, erase the username(if there is) and type administrator no password and press enter. You should be able to logon to the administrator account. If your successful you can change the password of your previous account
