My first thought when i read this was keyboard error, to be honest.
I would specifically check the shift and down curser keys.

2-4-2-3 (beep) Check for keyboard errors
if you need to remove keyboard

It clearly indicates that the virus has corrupted the motherboard as well as the OS
Possible solutions:
1) Try reinstalling BIOS or getting a new BIOS in motherboard
2) Reinstall the OS upon BIOS
3) Replacing the motherboard (if 1 and 2 does not work)
