If it's about you not being able to play DVD's with your media player, it's because you need a media player capable of doing that - i use http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ .
Click on Windows, in the next window select the closest location to you, select Save (nor Run) and wait for it to completely download, close the browser and launch the installer, set it as your default media player.
When the install is finished just play whatever you want with it.
