When I log on to runescape, or a bit after I started playing, everything freezes and a message says "java(TM) SE binary has stopped working" and then i have to close runescape. I reset my whole computer to its initial state (all my documents and stuff are all gone) but it still doesn't work.
Have you downloaded the latest version 6 update 16 of Java Runtime from

Its conflicting with something, uninstall "Java" if available and dowload a fresh up to date copy: http://www.java.com/en/
If that doesn't sort it, re-install the game as well.

Go to control panel then switch it to classic view, look for the Java console and double click it. Then on the first tab click settings and then delete the temporary internet files (cache) then restart your java game.
Logon to www.java.com - Update java.
