HVAC sizing depends on multiple factors-not just area. Things like insulation quality, number of windows, and local climate play a huge role. For commercial spaces, it becomes even more complex due to higher occupancy and equipment usage. 86 dodge daytona wont start

The main logic module / computer is located in the passenger side kick panel under the dash. If I remember correctly that is the computer that controls the engine ignition. This could be your culprit.

1986 dodge daytona smokes a lot

Hi Michael, I'm glad to help! When a vehicle starts to smoke, and I'm assuming you talking from the tailpipe. Its alway because there are worn parts, these parts could be anything from: Valve seals, Rings, PCV could be stop up, also on older model like yours, provided it has an auto-trans could be the modulator. This is a round cylinder looking object with a vacuum hose running to it which is attached to the side of the transmission. When it goes bad it will allow trans fluid to slip through it and it runs into the Intake Manifold and smokes out the tailpipe. As you see there are a lot of things that can cause an engine to smoke. You can check the rings by doing a "Cylinder Leak Down Test". The modulator, check it by simply unhooking the vacuum hose and if fluid runs out of the hose then replace the vacuum modulator NOTE: Provided it has a modulator. If both of these are OK, I suggest replacing the valve seals. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Michael.

I have a 2009 Dodge Journey that will start but not stay running Anyone with some info be great thanks in advance

for others doing any CHRYSLER cars. jeep, dodge ,etc. ASD most folks read it and tow the car to a shop and they fix it. but here is 1 answer, for real DIY posters that can handle tools. no engine told. and is engine trouble. 2.4, 2.7 or 3.5L engine> not the PZEV? engine? 2.4 and 3.5 are common in USA. First we check all fuses for blown. some are tricky that run things in EFI (PCM?ECU) complex things, never assume all fuses in all boxes are good. ever get a real tune up in 10 years 09 to 19 , spark plugs? filters air? fan belt? new COP boots are due. Dodge, like all Chrysler cars have magical;, ASD relay logic. cranks starts but stall fast in say 2 to 10 seconds that is ASD not happy. IMMO lamp glowing wrong, cuts spark and fuel both. as it MUST if key is bad, or now you lost the 2nd good key from day1 new car if you scanned the OBD2 port the ASD failures are told to you via DTC error codes. for a fact, so scan it. all modern cars must be scanned or go broke, doing parts cannon or worse. there are 50 causes of stalls. or just 1 loose wire.<< a fact of life. I have the list and refuse to post it. ever. I made it just to get the count. long long ago. (case in point valve spring cracked, vacuum is wrecked, ECU GOES BERSERK) count 4v x8 is 32 valves and 64 keeper to fail.<<, yah the failure paths can be deep. ASD (automatic shut down relay) aka, anti crash & burn as seen on TV. ACBASOT, grin. the wires in the ECU system(PCM) is called by maker F344? it goes many places, if any short , the ASD PCM (monitors) see that short overload and shuts the RELAY off and engine must stall. by DESIGN here is the logic. CMP or CKP dead ASD drops , this prevents injection fuel with no spark, a crazy dangerous thing to happen , avoided. in 2 seconds flat it can be. my list below is random, but 02 sensor wires love to short. answering for 1 gas engine not their diesel. In the FSM there are 4 engine paths for ASD, ill do 3.5L only. not all 4 1: any any spark coil shorts of 6 ASD DROPS OFF LINE> stalls 2:o2 sensors short 3: any injector x6 shorts ASD drops. 4: there is more but you get the drift, it's in the manual

2004 dodge reading the code 02htr

learn to push DTC Reset button to clear all stored memory stored DTC errors. there are only 3 kinds of errors (DTC all) + permanents. see end.
  • live and real ( means IT IS FAILING NOW hard)
  • live and intermittent ( painful but must be fixed) DTC code huge clue.
  • or old codes stored in memory.
if it come back in later, that is hard failure. hard failures are real and can not be cleared. and kept cleared driving. far. in 2010 there is this new rule. for some errors And this is the important part: Driven 200 miles and have 15 Warm Up cycles since the last time the DTC's codes were cleared. some error self clear , in 1 second flat like CMP sensors errors. but not EVAP, it will not even start the test until the fuel tank is partly low,. The O2 sensors, heaters love to burn out, mine read 0.5ohms good. using DMM meter set to opens 02 sensor in hand or unplugged. (FSM words and true) the PC detects heater bad because the heater current is now zero or way way off spec. as in BAD. when bad the DTC keeps coming back, as OBD2 , all do. learn to use the DTC clear button in the scan tool. Innova 5160 is mine. The best way to get help is post all DTC errors seen and todays cars be sure to have tool made 2007 up that states in the book, Can-bus network certified. you can not clear live errors well, sure if it takes 15 miles driving, sure it is real. many codes (they are tests) take awhile to complete. some are instant others take miles of driving. EGR tests, EVAP tests. are slow. P042x codes CAT slow, takes a long time to complete. in PR of California has permanent codes that can be ignored https://www.bar.ca.gov/obd-test-reference#PDTC this is deep memory stored false (now) codes. it is for finding intermittent code/problems. (I'd call it history memory that can not be erased) Each car made , find recalls and TSB notices to see if there are free fixes for DTC that lie. yes some do. the above list shows them., for dodge by year.

My dodge nitro when turning the key nothing happens turn the lights on and turn the key to start the engine the lights dont go deam what could the problem be

go DIM? heads do not go dim cranking?a bad battery the heads only need 10amps to be good,ut not starter motor at 100 to 300 ampsso that is what jumper cables do. Jump it is nextafter checking battery lugs for rust, or loose or bothand fuses not blown.no year told , no vin, no engine told.say the car will not crank ,the starter motor is dead.this if true means its one of 10 causes not 1 in 50+see?causes all (starter dead) but is the starter relay silent too?1: IMMO lamp glowing means engine is IMMOBLIZED.first that if true, the 2nd key fails too? key on, IMMO lamp not happy per user guide, (RTM)2: PRNDL failure, fails in park but not NEUTRAL (a/t box guessing)we always shift to N with P fails ALWAYS or get stranded.3: fuses blow, lacking an OEM FSM we must check them all.4: battery dead and bad after 5 to 7 years well, NORMAL THAT.5: alternator dead now battery same .The FSM tells you , keep battery charged with tool same name full time until such time a car runs right again, no kidding and TRUE !6: phantom drain on battery (ask hot to find it) keep it charged.or Call on the horn (cell) AAA autoclub tow. say jump my Nitroor one loose rusty wire in the wrong place. we use a Voltmeter to find that, if not simple like above.

98 dodge neon anti theft reset

Sounds like the factory anti-theft system (or possibly an aftermarket alarm) is keeping the car from starting after the battery swap. A couple of things to check:
  • Confirm if it's stock or aftermarket: Look for the IMMO/security light on the dash. If it's solid or flashing, the immobilizer isn't happy.
  • Battery check: Make sure the new battery is really good. Even a weak or used battery can confuse the system. A proper load test helps.
  • Key reset: If it's factory, sometimes leaving the key in the "ON" position for 10-15 minutes can let the system relearn.
  • Aftermarket alarms: If you see a separate alarm box under the dash, each brand/model resets differently-you'll need instructions specific to that unit.
?? If it's the stock system and the IMMO light won't clear, you may need a dealer reprogram or a locksmith with the right scan tool. If it's aftermarket, you'll have to follow that alarm maker's reset process.

2011 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 4WD. Is there a non OBDC code with the dash lights?

It is certainly possible for your 2011 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 4WD to exhibit the symptoms you described-intermittent parking brake and skid indicator lights, coupled with a fluctuating fuel gauge-without triggering a specific OBD-II diagnostic trouble code (DTC). Modern vehicles, including your Ram, rely heavily on complex electrical systems and modules. One common culprit for a wide array of seemingly unrelated electrical gremlins in these trucks is the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). A failing TIPM can cause erratic behavior in various electrical components, including the instrument cluster lights and fuel gauge, often without setting a hard code that an ordinary OBD-II scanner would pick up. Beyond the TIPM, other non-code-generating issues could be at play. The intermittent fuel gauge drop strongly suggests a problem with the fuel sending unit, its wiring, or a bad ground connection at the fuel tank. These can cause erratic readings as the electrical resistance changes, and while severe failures might trigger a P046x code, intermittent issues often do not. Similarly, the parking brake and skid indicator lights could be triggered by low brake fluid, a faulty brake fluid level sensor, or an issue with the ABS wheel speed sensors or their wiring. Loose or corroded electrical connections, especially ground points, throughout the vehicle's wiring harness are also notorious for causing intermittent and seemingly random electrical malfunctions that may not be severe enough or consistent enough to set a DTC. A weak or failing battery or alternator can also lead to voltage fluctuations that confuse various modules, resulting in dash light anomalies. Given the intermittent nature of your problem, a thorough visual inspection of wiring and connections, along with specific diagnostic tests for the fuel sending unit and brake system components, is recommended. gemini_generated_image_wjspazwjspazwjsp-undefined-undefined-0.png
