This means Linux operating system (OS) functionality. Linux contain a variety of features that the user can activate and deactivate while using the system. Examples include setting up the desktop "look and feel", connecting to the internet, and setting each users privileges on the system. This is pretty basic, but it is a start. Hope it helps.

Dual boot error

In some cases this one solves the problem:

First, try to use PS2 keyboard type, maybe you are using a Usb keyboard that's why it wont work outside Windows mode.

Then if you are inside the Setup Menu sometimes called the "Bios Setup" try to look under the usb functions if it disable change it to enable, in this way all your usb device will work even if you are not in Windows Mode.

Samsung CLX-3170FN won't work on my Eee PC 4G

This printer is not designed for linux operating system, It is for a PC for microsoft OS or mac OS and it comes with the drivers to perform that operation. Samsung CLX-3170FN is a multifunctional device that request drivers to perform Functions with your windows os or mac os. NOT LINUX! CHANGE THE OPERATING SYSTEM!, that's the solution and you do not have search for PPd, all resolutions are in the os settings.
