Hi there, this is a problem with ALL Bluray players, it is an annoying format problem, where "resume play "is not available on JAVA enabled Blurays, (BD-J). JAVA content is usually the interactive menus and extra features on specific Blurays. These are essentially computer programs, so when you close them and re-open them they open from the beginning, (Just like on your computer, when you close a program). All standard DVD's and non BD-J discs will resume play as expected, this is why some people think there is an intermittent fault, and others say that there model of player is working fine.
