I can not get the door open after it finished washing. Is there a secret to it?

Hi, welcome to fixya. Whether there IS a problem or not remains to be seen, sometimes unplugging the unit for a minimum of three minutes will reset the control. A lot of times this occurs do to improper draining which can be caused by many things but I'd suggest manually unlocking it first and then reset it with the door open. The emergency latch release is behind the small round panel below the main tub door. **Unplug the washer or turn off the breaker before attempting any suggestion given here please** To open the access door ( small round panel ) you'll require a small round needle shaped object or really narrow screwdriver. Put it in the small hole in the panel push in slightly and turn to about 6 o'clock...clockwise that is The small round cover should now come off and expose the pump with the string going through a hook on the pump housing. Be very careful as the edges are very sharp. A string will be threaded through the pump housing and you just need to pull it to open the main door.
