Hi ya
remove your R4 card. Go to the system setting and turn your date on the dsi back by a year!!
Put your R41 back in and it should work.
happened to my sons and the only way it would work was to turn the date back.

Bingo! Yesterday (31/April) I was doing a Google search on the R4i "System Date Error" problem and found the permanent solution! Basically one that DOESN'T involve changing your system date to one that it's not! Check out this blog post:

http://www.nds-gear.co.uk/blog/2010/05/nds-gear-solves-r4i-sdhc-system-date-error-problem/

Follow the instructions and use their software (for genuine R4i-SDHC cards only of course) and problem should be solved! Worked for me on a regular DSi console with the original R4i SDHC card, 4GB memory.

I read that changing the date to 28.09.2009 should work, as this happened to me today too... and it worked. Very weird, but try it anyway :)
