I have a Maytag neptune front loader washer and the door needs to be slammed to close. Is it fixable is all I want to know and does it require repair man to do so?
The latch needs to be adjusted. Does it need a repairman? That all depends on how mechanical minded you are. Put a THIN piece of plastic behing the latch. The lid from a butter dish will work. Try it. Don't move it out too far, or it will leak.
