CyberLink PowerProducer 2 (CYBPOPCDK) for PC Logo

Power Producer 2 functionality needed, but possibly wrong Codec.

I used to use Power Producer 2 which I got with my laptop for authoring/reauthoring DVDs.
It had the ability to import content of the DVDs from the menu, very easy, never had a problem with it.
Until I started using it again.
Now it imports DVDs and cuts the clips down to 10 or 20 second clips.
I've looked at upgrading and have found that subsequent versions (I have V3 and have tried version 4) don't have the same functions.
Version 3 even imported the entire VOB file without sound.
Does anyone have any experience with these issues?
My ideal solution would be to have version 2 working, but I've tried all manner of Codec packs and the video still only imports as 20 seconds long (even though WinMediaPlayer plays it as about twice that length).
Secondary solution would be to have Version 3 import the VOB files With Sound.
I am reluctant to install version 3 as it always overwrites version 2, and doesn't really improve things.
HELP!
I just want to put my DVD's of my daughter onto one large DVD instead of hundreds of badly menu'ed mini DVDs.
Thanks,
-Andy S

SOURCE: PowerProducer3 'failed to add video file'

I solved this problem by using a different program as I could not resolve the error with the cyberlink software.
