Connection I plug in the sansa, and although it says it is connected and will charge, the computer won't recognize it's existance. I can play the songs already on it, but there are only a couple and I really want to put new music on...

Try changing the USB connection from MTP to MSC in the Settings>USB Mode>. If this still doesn't work. Plug in the device. go to Control Panel on your computer. From there go to Administrative tools. Then to Computer Management. My Computer>Control Panel>Administrative tools>Computer Management> Device Manager. The device manager is located on the left side menu. Click on the device manager and a list of components and what-not will appear on the right side of this menu. If you see under the Portable Devices component, a Device with a "!" inside a yellow circle, then you did not change the USB connection. If it was changed then you should see the Sansa e250 drivers under the drivers component. This means your computer recognizes the device and you should be able to do what you want with it.
