My cd player won't play my cd's, and these codes come up. What do they mean and how do i fix them

Error 6 & 4 it means laser is not reading the disc and unforutunally you need to replace the pick up laser assy.
You can get it from pacparts.com,but I reccomend you to take to a proffessional tech because this is a "static sensitive" item.

hi try first to insert a clean up CD, and test your Cd player with an original CD, if the problem persist , your laser sense is defficient you have to go to fix it to a specialist.

I actually get error 6 and error 3 messages. The thing is, it's intermittent. Sometimes it plays the CD and sometimes not. I have used the Allsop Laser Lens Cleaner CD but even that won't play sometimes. (does not use any fluids, strictly a brush cleaning) The problem is getting worse with time. I suspect a buildup of grime on the laser lens. I've had the thing for a long time. Can I clean it with a swab and rubbing alcohol? Is the laser lens reachable without taking the unit out of das h?
