It depends on what you mean by free. Free Java Download is Oracle's general download page. Also see, Java SE Development Kit 7 Downloads Oracle Technology Network Oracle. Then there is the Open Java effort: How to download and install prebuilt OpenJDK packages. Hope that helps.

Hi i am trying to install the printmaster platinum 2.0 version i have windows xp but i keep getting a java error
I installed PrintMaster Platinum 2011 and it first said that I didn't have the correct version of Java for my Mac. I downloaded the required version and was able to proceed with the installation. Did the error happen to say what version of Java is required? If so, going to the Java website and getting the newest update for Windows XP would probably allow you to go ahead and install PrintMaster.

Sounds like you don't have Java installed.
Go to www.java.com and click Free Java Download.
If you're running Windows XP, VIsta or 7, click the big red button to download and install Java.
If you're not, there's a link for other operating systems, like Mac OS X.

How to uninstall java program on MAC
If you're talking about the version of Java installed with the Operating System, take a look at this link <http://developer.apple.com/java/faq/#remove>. Among other things the advice on this page indicates that in order to revert to an earlier version of Java you would have to re-install the operating system. Also, Java is integrated as part of the OS so I don't think it would be advisable to uninstall. Good luck.

Java jre installation not complete
Hi There,

As i understand you receive an error when you run the installed program.

Please uninstall the complete downloaded software and reboot the PC. Then download the latest Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7) to run all Java programs from the link given below,
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Once you have installed the Java JRE, again install the program and test if it works.

It will work!!
