Why does my camera display 'Out of Memory'?

I emptied the files and it worked for one picture then 'out of memory' showed up again.

Your camera comes with a very small internal memory. Your camera may be telling you your memory is filled up because it is. First, if you do not have an add-on SD memory card for your camera, get one and install it following your camera's instruction manual. Second, if you already have an SD card installed or you put a new one in, go to your camera's menu. There will be an item that allows you to use either the camera's internal memory or the add-on memory. Make sure the add-on SD card is selected.

SOURCE: Memory Problem

May was a long time ago - you may have solved this by now...
A330 cameras only accept certain types of xD cards.  If you have a type 'h' card, it won't work.
I have a card that says "H512mb" and it's useless.  You can only use cards with no letters before the card size or type "M"  cards.  With a type "M", you need to upgrade the camera firmware.  Read directions here: http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/download/a330/fupd.html

SOURCE: Memory full; how to clear

Sounds like you will need to format the internal memory of the camera. This will permanently erase all the data from the internal memory and then you will be able to use it again. To format the memory: Remove the xD card from the camera - Press the Menu button - right arrow to setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the memory so it can be used again.
