How do I decrease CPU usage for Vista. I am at around 20% -30%? Is it advisable to turn off services or processes?
You can decrease the CPU usage by disabling the third party services that are running in the back ground.
1. You can use msconfig in run command and then choose services option and then check the box , which says hide all microsoft services. then click on disalble all . this would disable the third party serivices in the back ground.
2. System Restore feature used max cpu hence if you turn if off
it should help you.
3. take off unwanted programs from add or remove program
