Clearing DSTV E16 error via Internet

1. Go to the Dstv Self service portal.
2. Fill in your Smart card number, select the type of error you choose to clear "E16" in this case.
3. Enter the captcha code then click "Clear Error" as seen in the screenshot below.

The e16 error code indicates that there is a problem with the machines door lock.

An E16 error code means there is a heater insulation problem which could cause the tripping of your fuse box and other random cycle errors, but it's hard to prove without the replacement of your heater.

How to Reset waste ink counter (Error E16)
1. Unplug power and USB cable.
2. Open door and hold power button.
3. Connect power.
4. Close door, then release power button.

E16 indicates a motor lock with the inking motor. Disassemble the ink pump unit and check for proper rotation of the inking motor itself. This error is caused by a current overload.
Also, remember to try powering on the machine while holding down the reset key to clear all error codes first.

Hi there.
E16 Error code means (on all canon compacts) that there is something wrong with the lens mechanism and it cannot contract/extract/focus etc. Basically, if the problem is not fixed by removing the batteries for 20 minutes and reinstalling them (make sure they are fully charged) then you'll have to take it into a shop or get a friend who knows a lot about this stuff to take it apart.

press stop reset button for few seconds and you can use your black cartridge for printing,but do remember to put use black only setting in ur printer cartridge settings.
