Invalid format?? tried to hook my ps3 to a LG tv and tv says invalid format?? works great at home with my sony bravia but when i take it to my bros house and use his LG tv no pic but u can hear sound and tv say invalid format. what do i do???

    I had the SAME problem. I called Sony and I have the correct solution.

    lol sorry this is how you fix it. First hold the power button down till you hear three beeps. on the third beep it will beep twice and shut off. then hold the power button down till it does the same thing (beeps 3 times,, on the third time it beeps twice). then have the ps3 controller plugged in with a usb cable and press the ps3 button. this will open it up in safe mode. you should be able to reset your settings and this should fix it. (btw my controller kept shutting off. you might have to press the ps3 button on your controller thats plugged in a few times)

Change the display settings to 1080i or 720p- his tv likely does not support 1080p.
