Quicksteamer husband filed directions for use somewhere and i can't find them... neither can he. how do i set up the machine for use? i vacuumed area 1st. i have bissell fiber cleansing formula and bissell multi-allergen removal formula beside me. Plus a quicksteamer my friend used and returned with the directions, but she is not available for a week. hmmmm.... besides going through the den trying to find something in the chaos therein, the alternative is... YOU! :)
thanks.

This is not an easy one for us to offer advice on because we cannot see it. There are a lot of places that can leak water and there are a lot of parts that can wear out. You need to check the hoses and connections on all the tanks and spray bars. At least you can get parts for it now: http://www.vacsite.com/en/bissell-parts-1/bissell-parts/1970-quicksteamer.html
You can purchase a wide variety of high quality Bissell replacement parts for your Bissell vacuum direct from Think Crucial with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10
Mine did too. Eventually it started smoking and spat-out dust from the dead motor.
I wish I had looked at the motor and added some vaseline or something before in conked-out completely.
I think the problem was that I was not spraying water enough and so running the machine more as a dry vacuum. Maybe this allowed the motor to spin too fast and over head. Or something.
New motors are available but cost nearly as much as a second hand quicksteamer / quickwash.

Sorry this is as close as I could come...but *** covers the Quicksteamer 1970 model...and surely it is the exact same process for yours...as this manual covers several models.....I found it at www.bissell.com.....I hope this helps...good luck and thanks For rating my effort....The Fang
Was the exposed copper wiring on the electrical cord? If is then replace the cord. The main problem with this model is that Bissell obsoleted it as well as parts for it. But if all you need is a cord, you should be able to get one from a repair shop.
please can any one tell me how to use this
need to know how to operate
