How to reset error code H4 on a sharp AL1200 - Office Equipment & Supplies

-H4-21 means:Sub heater lamp abnormally low temperature detection. The setup temperature (about –25°C: Sim 43-1-1) is not reached within the specified time (about 32sec) from turning on the power ON SW. (When the temperature falls below 140°C in the standby mode.)
-Causes:
Sub heater thermistor defect
Sub heater lamp failure
Sub thermostat failure
Control PWB failure
-Check the sub heater lamp blinking with SIM 5-2-2.
When the lamp blinks normally: Check the thermistor and the harness. Check the MCU PWB thermistor input circuit.
When the lamp does not light: Check for disconnection of the heater lamp and thermostat. Check the interlock switch. Check the power PWB and the MCU PWB lamp control circuit.
Clear the display of self-diagnostics with SIM 14.
The H4 errors will not reset by themselves. You must enter service mode to reset this error even if the problem has been repaired. The reset process is outlined below (DO NOT USE ANY OTHER FUNCTIONS IN SERVICE MODE):
Press the following sequence: "#/P" "*" "C" "*"
Type in 1 4
Press start
hit 1 for yes
hit start
Unit should power off and the restart.
If the error code recurrs ther are other problems.

This mean you have low temp. on heat lamp 2 program interput clear interrupt 14 print may clear this code. if not you can look at the fusing unit and reset thrmo breaker that may be pop off.

Here is the solution straight from the lips of tec support at sharp.

This can happen due to a power outage.

Here is how you fix it.

1. Hit clear, then auto. (clear is on the right the red C, auto is on the far left)
2. Once again Hit clear, then auto. (clear is on the right the red C, auto is on the far left)

At this point wait for the screen to go dark.

3. Type in 14 (hit the 10 once an the 1 button 4 times)
4. Hit the Green Button.

The screen will go dark and reset the copier.

Usually a flase code on these models. Try clearing by pressing "C" then far left key (Exposure Mode) then "C" then far left again. Must be pressed quickly and if done correctly display will go blank. Then key in 14 as if making 14 copies. Then press Print.
Short Version: C, far left, C, far left, 14, print
If code returns then you have a fusing unit problem but 9 times out of 10 this is just a false code.

it doesn`t need to change board. code 14 clears.
